The term multi-level marketing is often referred to as a pyramid scheme. How will Zrii™ and the Chopra Center™ create a program that has integrity? “Multi-level” marketing, more widely known as Network Marketing or Direct Sales, is a form of distribution where companies offer their products through a network of independent contractors. When a product is sold, Independent Contractors are paid a commission. Pyramid schemes are sometimes confused with network marketing because they have a similar structure and are largely built by word of mouth. Yet, unlike Network Marketing, Pyramid schemes pay based on recruiting rather then on product sales, and in many instances, no product ever exchanges hands. Pyramid schemes are illegal because their structure eventually collapses, leaving people at the top wealthy and people at the bottom holding the bag.
